American Safety & Health Institute

Adult/Child/Infant CPR

Date:  Monday, July 26, 2010       1pm - 5pm *   or

Date:  Wed. Sept 22, 2010            9am - Noon

Cost: $40 inlcuded book and certification for 2 years.

* Note the July 26th is during our normal class period time which is 4 hours long.

 

Self Defense Class Level 1

Description: This class involves a lecture to help you become more aware of you surroundings and potentially dangerous situations.  You will learn various releases and how to use your whole body a s a weapon.  Minimum participants: 5

Date:  Wed. July 28, 2010

Time:  10am - 2:30pm

Cost:  $45

 

Self Defense Class Level 2

Description:  Turning the releases into lock and controls or pain compliance techniques to deal with unruly clients without injuring them, also how to deal with weapon attacks, (guns, knives).  You will also learn more advance ways to deal with attackers that again will build on the first.  Self Defense 1 is not a prerequisite for this class, however, you won't have the basics and it may be a little more complicated.  Minimum participanst: 5

Belly Dancing for Fitness

Description:  Join Amira Star (Tiffany Adamski) on Saturdays to tone and train Egyptian style in this beginner level fitness class using bellydance moves to tighten and tone all those feminine curves.

Dates:  Saturdays Feb 20 - April 3, 2010

Time:  10:00 am - 11:00 am

Cost:  $60 for six week session or $12 per class

Saucy Lady Bellydance

Description:  Join Amira Star (Tiffany Adamski) on Saturdays to learn bellydance combos that are as fun to dance as they are to watch.

Pilates
Description: The primary purpose of Pilates is to promote strength and stability in the core of the body through a series of controlled, flowing movements that can improve one's shape, increase flexibility and improve posture.  Some of the benefits of Pilates include deeper rest, improved bone density, body awareness, heart-lung endurance, increased energy, and improvement in the immune system.

Beginning Yoga
Description:  Yoga is a rejuvenating form of movement that combines rhythmic stretching and breathing.  A gentle progression gains flexibility and muscle tone in a relaxed manner.  In this class, participants will learn basic yoga postures and breathing techniques. The room is carpeted; however, you may want to use a mat.  For your convenience, our Body Therapy Store sells yoga mats.

Joint Mobility
Description: Healthy joints improve your overall physical performance and well-being.  This class helps increase your range of motion.  There are bout 100 joints in your body.  Learn how to keep them running smoothly.  This class is for all ages.

COMMUNITY CLASS POLICY

  • Your advanced, non-refundable, payment reserves your space in class.

  • If the class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • If you miss one or more classes, you can make up a maximum of one class.  Make-ups are based on availability. Please call us first. (This is not an option for the Massage-A-Buddy class)

  • If you pay in advance, in-full, for TWO 6-week classes then you will receive a $10 discount off the total cost.

  • If you decide to pay per class, then the cost is $13.00 per class, payable at the front desk before class. (This is not an option for the Massage-A-Buddy class)

* Before beginning any exercise program, we advise you to first check with your physician. If you are pregnant or have any chronic health problems, please let us know before you register.
