OtherExpenses:
Two fees are paid directly to the Ohio State Medical Board. The first is the $35 application fee that you pay when applying for massage school. The second is the examination fee of $250 that is paid near the end of the massage program when you apply to take the State Board Examination. Applicants for the State Medical Board of Ohio are also required to complete a criminal background check as part of their application process. For more information please see.
Liability Insurance
Liability insurance must be obtained prior to participation in the student clinic. This insurance is provided by the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). Membership provides practice building tools, web-based tools, a free e-mail account and website, discounts on products, “Knead to Know” quarterly newsletter specifically for massage students, Massage & Bodywork Magazine, massage yearplanner, and a Student Success guide.
CPR CertificationCertification in CPR is required. Although the school provides a class on CPR, it is not required that you take the class at the Institute. You must supply a copy of your current CPR certification card to the Dean of Students for your student file. Your CPR certification must remain current through your anticipated graduation date.
Professional MassagesIn 2, 3, and 4 quarters, you are required to receive a total of three full-body massages (one per quarter) from any licensed massage therapist of your choice (using a different therapist each time) who has been licensed for at least one year. Healing Arts Institute also has licensed massage therapists (LMTs) by appointment at a reduced rate to students. This will enable you to experience the various techniques and styles utilized by different massage therapists.
Seminar ElectivesIn 3 and 4 quarters students have the option of participating in a field experience chosen by the school or an approved continuing education seminar. There is an additional cost (not included in base tuition or fees) for attending a seminar and cost will vary depending on the seminar; however, students will receive discounts on seminars held at Healing Arts Institute that are taken for elective credit.

Tuition for Full-Time Students(12 month program)
1. *A down payment of $1,000 is due upon signing the Enrollment Agreement.
*(Students qualifying for and using Financial Aid will be responsible for a
$500.00 down payment and further payments will be adjusted based on
eligible aid).
2. A payment of $1137.50 is due on the first day of class of the first quarter.
3. A payment of $2,137.50 is due on the first day of class of the second quarter.
4. A payment of $2,137.50 is due on the first day of class of the third quarter.
5. A payment of $2,137.50 is due on the first day of class of the fourth quarter.
Tuition for Part-Time Students (24 month Program)
1. A down payment of $1,000 is due upon signing the Enrollment
Agreement.
2. A payment of $900 is due on the first day of class of the first quarter of the first
academic year.
3. A payment of $ 950 is due on the first day of class of each quarter thereafter for
the first and second academic years.
