Healing Arts Institute is a massage therapy school located in northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Since 1997, Healing Arts Institute has been providing outstanding training and continuing education in massage therapy and allied fields. In the process we nourish professional, academic, and personal growth, integrating the concept of the balance between mind, body, and soul.
Upon graduating, our graduates receive a diploma in massage therapy, qualifying them to take the Massage and Bodywork Licenisng Examination (MBLEx) to become licensed massage therapists. Some of our graduates have received the highest scores in Ohio on past medical board exams. Those graduates who move out of state may choose to take the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB) exam. For those graduates who wish to continue their education, we have opportunities for them to further their education to receive an associates degree in massage therapy.
Massage therapy schools in Ohio must be approved by the State Medical Board of Ohio and the State Board of Career Colleges and schools. However, Healing Arts Institute has gone beyond this minimum standard by achieving national recognition and accreditation. The school is also approved for funding by the United States Department of Education, which enables eligible students to receive financial aid for their education.
In addition to a massage therapy school, Healing Arts Institute offers continuing education seminars, has a Body Therapy Store which sells massage tables, equipment and oils, gels, creams, and muscle balms, and provides massage table rental and space rental, and offers Community Classes (open to the public) such as yoga, Pilates, Self Defense, CPR, and Stress Management.
